The International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC) and other trade union organisations congregated in Global Unions have participated in The Group of Twenty (G-20) Summits at the end of 2008, meetings that gather the governments of major world powers. Trade union representatives from ITUC and from G-20 countries have carried out several activities in the last summits to introduce proposals for the improvement of the worker�s social and working conditions in the Presidents� agenda.
Gerardo Martínez takes part in G-20 meetings as member of the ITUC Executive Council and also as trade union representative from Argentina, one of the Latin American countries that, together with Brazil and Mexico, forms the G-20.
