Organized by Franchin Multidisciplinary Team for Adolescent Medicine, the opening speech was in charge of Doctor Carlos Espelt, Medical Director of Health Insurance for the Building Workers Construir Salud and Doctor Gustavo Calderón, Medical Director of Sanatorium Franchin.
The fourth Scientific Conference in Adolescent Medicine of Sanatorium Franchin was developed at UOCRA Auditorium Gastón Barral. Under the name New Paradigms, it was dealt with a wide variety of topics related to the problems and challenges faced by teens today: Eating Behaviours, Social Networks and New Technologies, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Sexuality in Adolescence and Experiences of Adolescents in Developing Prevention Programs at Schools. Also, it was lectured and debated on related topics such as Gender Valuation and Human Rights in the Care of Children and Adolescents, Sexual Diversity, Prevention Programmes in the Use of Social Networks and Overweight and Obesity in Adolescents, among others. Renowned speakers participated in the different thematic modules: Ms. Inda Klein, Research Coordinator, Childhood Monitoring and New Technologies from the National Secretary of Children, Adolescents and the Family of the National Ministry of Social Development; Dr. Lucía Bocca and Mr. Diego Borisonik both belonging to the Area of Coexistence in Diversity of the Subsecretariat for Human Rights and Cultural Pluralism of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires; Dr. Rosa Pappola, Coordinator of Adolescent Medicine in Hospital Penna; Dr. Adrián Heilen, Team Member of Sexual Medicine and Urology of Hospital Durand and President of Sexology and Sexual Diversity of APSA; Ms. Alejandra Sacks, Coordinator of the Postgraduate Course "Integral Approach of the most common Problems in Adolescence" of Hospital Rivadavia, among others. For the closing, 4th, 5th and 6th year students from Florida Lasalle Institute talked about their experience on Adolescent Prevention Programmes in the Use of Social Networks, and 5th year students from Pío IX School showed a documentary of his own about Adolescence and Social Stereotypes.Tweet
