Gerardo Martínez received Julio Grondona

“;For Labour rights in Qatar”

President of The Argentine Football Association AFA and International Federation of Association Football FIFA first Vice-President

Julio Grondona, visited UOCRA headquarters, interested in the arguments worded by Mr. Martínez, President of Latin America and the Caribbean of the Building and Wood Workers' International - BWI and Secretary-General of UOCRA, in relation to demands against Qatar due to absence of labour protection for building workers, whether national Qatari or migrants, who are carrying out infrastructure works towards Football World Cup Qatar 2022.

Julio Grondona became interested in the problem raised by Mr. Martinez and committed himself to support and deal with this initiative in FIFA Executive Committee where he will pose that the football world cup the governing body adopt the defence of the fundamental rights of workers as its own this flag for the defence of the dignity of work.
