For Decent Work and Social Dialogue with Multinational Companies
UOCRA received the Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI)
Within the framework of Building and Wood Workers’ International (BWI) Activities in Argentina, it was held a meeting among affiliate trade unions from Latin America, the Caribbean and Angola with Techint Company at UOCRA headquarters.
Meeting objectives were aimed at analyzing the situation of the company in the different countries of the region, based on achievements made in collective bargaining agreements and developing a proposal with the challenges to achieve within the framework of the social dialogue proposed by the International Labour Organization (ILO), to achieve the social-labour content of decent work.
Over thirty-five union leaders of our region were present. Moreover, a Techint company representative, UOCRA professional team and members of the Central Executive Committee who welcomed Victor Brandán, Foreign Affairs Secretary, on behalf of Gerardo Martínez, our General Secretary.
